The first year of this classic racer's history, Bob Johnstone and Bill Shore raced together with a fast Shore inventory of sails. Since then, Bill and Bob have spent many pleasurable hours racing together and with customers, winning more than 10 regattas and events including the MORC Nationals. Bill Shore continues to race the boat in Newport's popular evening racing series.
This was the second boat designed in the J family of boats. Shore Sails was involved from the start as a result of Shore' extraordinarily fast J 24 sails. Shore Sails has had a strong presence in the class ever since with happy winning owners.
