Andy Horton with Bill Fastiggi (Shore Burlington) and Heather Rowe won the New England Lightning District regatta, finished second in the CT / RI Districts and won the Pan Am Games Lightning Class Gold Medal. They did not have to race the last race. Party time in Gimli.
Kathyrn Connell, Mandy Hofmeister and Kerstin Visbeck turned in a tremendous performance winning their second Women's Lightning Championships (with Shore Sails both times) and Colin Park, Karen Park and Adrian Irving won the Masters Lightning Championships with a really fast Shore spinnaker. Shore Sails has developed the fastest Lightning sails available by utilizing a development program that has produced numerous championship winning sails. Our philosophy is to offer a single main and jib that perform well over a wide range of conditions.
Shore Sails dominated the 1999 and 1998 North Americans! Our sailors led at weather marks and ran away with our new fast spinnakers. Simple sail choices and minimal rig tuning allowed smart sailors to focus on winning!
Join the Shore Sails Lightning Revolution!
The International Lightning Class is part of the Shore family and has been for several generations. This class was responsible for inciting Bill's interest in designing faster one design sails. Shore Sails have won more Worlds, North American and other country titles than any other sailmaker.

Shore Sails dominated the North American’s leading at most first weather marks and running away off the breeze. Through a full range of wind and sea conditions, Shore Sails’ smooth shapes require only minimal rig adjustments.
Shore Sail’s application of modern sail design theory and investment in sail testing results in sails which are fast, easy to trim and durable.
